This is why I avoid Asian import food markets
"In recent years, for instance, China’s food safety scandals have involved everything from fake baby milk formulas and soy sauce made from human hair to instances where cuttlefish were soaked in calligraphy ink to improve their color and eels were fed contraceptive pills to make them grow long and slim."

So the next time I opt for the more expensive organic version of food, my excuse will be: At least I KNOW it's not from China!
Wish someone had told me about this before I cut my hair the other day!
I never knew there was such as thing as Blonde Soy Sauce.
It's less robust than the normal soy sauce but more highly prized. : P
Also, contraceptive pills make you grow long and slim?! Hmm . . .
No, Kate, that's contraceptive pills make *eels* grow long and slim. Nice try though.
Did anyone notice that I am now taller and thinner? I'm tellin' you... the pill works!!
