Oh, the innocent '50s

On her morning rounds to gather items for the police blotter in the
years before the '57 trials, Kennedy one day happened upon a report of
a "crime against nature" and asked the shift commander what that
meant.

"I honestly thought someone had done something to a tree," Kennedy said.
